Two weeks might not sound like a long time to us, but for Holly, it is practically a lifetime. This blue Staffy lives in Victoria, Australia, and she has a very special bond with her favorite people. Her latest video over at @hollythebluestaffy captures the dog finally getting to visit the grandparents at their house after a break. She is sitting impatiently in the car, and her excitement is palpable. Therefore, as soon as the door opens and she is unbuckled, she is gone. Holly sprints straight to the front of the house, where she knows all the fun starts.
Video show dog’s heartwarming reaction to visiting grandparents after two weeks
When Dad finally catches up with her and opens the front door, Holly simply darts in. She goes past the front room and straight into the living room, where her grandparents are. They are just sitting on the couch with their backs turned, and Holly seems to overshoot her target. She pulls the brakes on her happy feet just long enough to prepare for a launch. And then she just goes for it.
She lands right on Grandpa and then Grandma. It’s what her owners call “body slams of love.” And honestly, Grandma almost got run over. This dog is a blue Staffy, so she’s quite muscular, but she is also full of affection. It’s another matter that she thinks she weighs five pounds, though.
She plants kisses all over their faces. But then she stops. She jumps off the couch to do a quick toy basket inventory. One viewer joked that she was checking if everything was exactly where she left it. She sniffs around for a second before going back for more hugs on the couch. The energy in the room, as someone in the comments pointed out, is just 100% love and maybe 10% damage.
After a few more leaps on the couch, she heads back to the basket. And this time, she picks out one to bring it right over to her favorite humans. With over 206.8k likes, this video of the dog visiting her grandparents’ house has gone viral for the sweetest greeting. People are calling her the new generation of beloved grandchildren. And it just makes perfect sense.
