The video starts with a voice calling out across the yard, and already something feels off. It is that tone that says someone’s been caught even before the proof shows up. Sydney from @oliversue_sydney is officially the one in the hot seat.
Her dad, James, is filming, and he is definitely not happy about her life choices. He calls her a “little brat” as she tries to sneak away. It turns out she was caught getting into mom’s garden again. This dog thought she was being sneaky, but her dad is always watching. He then follows her to the kennel for a talk.
Video captures dog’s innocent act after dad catches her sneaking into the garden
Sydney is an Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog, and these pups are famously smart. So she knows exactly what is happening. When her dad catches up to her in the outdoor kennel, where she’s taken refuge, she just has this massive, cheeky smile pasted on her face.
The pup even starts wiggling her whole body. James asks her what she did this morning, but she just turns her face away. She doesn’t want to look at him at all.
That’s when her brother, Oliver, comes over to see the drama, or maybe negotiate on her behalf. But his dad tells him to move along and says his sister is in trouble today. The guilt on her face is just so telling.
She starts doing what one person in the video comments called a “cheese face.” And she is basically twerking her little butt.
James tells her she cannot get out of this one by being cute, and asks her again why she went into the garden. But that face is a total weapon. One person even joked that they should try this technique the next time they get pulled up for causing trouble.
Finally, her dad just gives in and says he hates that he can’t stay mad at her cute face. One funny comment pointed out that there is actually zero evidence she was in the flowers, so her paws are technically clean.
But James still gives her a stern warning. He says she has to go thirty minutes without treats, which is basically an eternity for her, and then he just lets her go. She bolts out of that kennel so fast. All is forgiven and forgotten for now, at least until the next time she sees something she isn’t supposed to touch.
