Sometimes they even prefer to be petted at the same place because the pooch cannot easily reach the spot themselves. Even this mom was petting her dog in this video. However, the furry pal complained soon after since she was petting at the wrong spot.

Dogs love being petted by their parents as it relaxes them. This releases calming hormones, strengthens the bond between dog and owner, and most importantly, reinforces trust. However, every dog has a specific spot where they love to be petted most of the time. Even this Labrador named Bowie loves it when his owner pets him. However, the video on @sarahs_dogpack shows his reaction when the parent pets him in the wrong spot.
The clip shows Bowie relaxing with his mom with her hand on his body. Despite this, the pooch paws the mom and looks at her with those innocent eyes. It was hinting that she is not petting him at the “right spot.”
Soon after this, the mom realises her mistakes and moves her hand to a different spot, below his neck, saying “sorry” to the pooch and admitting she is a “terrible mother” for petting the furry pal at the “wrong spot.”
Looking at how conveniently the pooch conveyed the message, the mom could not help but laugh, saying, “When you have a lab, and they complain because you aren’t petting them where they want you to, well, congratulations, you’re dog has now trained you,” in the caption. The adorable clip is slowly gaining attention online, with one suggesting the mom to pet, “Behind the ears, they love it!”
