Video: Dogs Are Confused by Owner’s Hand Trick

Evenings in this household are reserved for relaxing on the couch, but James Blanchard decided to spice things up for his pack. He just hid his hand under a blanket, and the reaction from the duo at @oliversue_sydney is basically a loud mess. This video of the dogs and their owner shows them totally failing to solve the mystery. They are Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs, so they are smart. However, they are also very suspicious of moving fabric. Oliver and Sydney are totally convinced there is a monster in the house.

Dogs can’t figure out why the blanket is moving in hilarious video

James Blanchard is watching TV and just wiggling his fingers under the blanket. Oliver, who is also on the couch with him, tries to catch it with his mouth, and Sydney is already on the floor, giving him a full-blown warning. The dad joked that he had to save everyone’s ears from 45 seconds of barking in this clip because that is what transpires. “I don’t know how we didn’t think to play this game before,” the owner said.

The dogs just keep being suspicious and barking. It’s like they have never seen a moving hand under a blanket before. Sydney eventually puts her front paws on the couch. She needs to bark properly at the “spooky hand.” Dad thinks it is cute that she is sticking up for her brother. He calls her a “sweet little angel.” But he also calls them both “psychos”.

Oliver is just a “man” trying to handle business. He takes a breather and jumps off the couch, and then comes right back up. He really doesn’t like the game. But he can’t stop watching the blanket move either. He is very confused.

People are loving it. It has over 6.2K likes. One person mentioned, “two siblings love towards each other is so sweet and adorable.” Another said that “blanket monster” gets intense at their place, too. Even if it is just a hand, the dogs are very focused and wary of it. And they are not ready to quit being loud about it yet.
