Lukas, the Golden Retriever, has his eyes glued to just above the front door. He is standing as still as he possibly can. But his tail is giving him away with the tiniest little wag. A huge mosquito is sitting right there, and he looks fascinated by it. The usual adventures for this Golden Retriever happen outdoors in Washington. But today is all about the bug.
Golden Retriever gets curious about a big mosquito
In this clip from @lukaventura9, we also see him with a forgotten ball sitting right at his feet. It shows a tense standoff between a Golden Retriever and a large mosquito.
Someone brings a long-handled broom into the frame to move the bug along. And it works. As soon as the broom touches the mosquito, it flies a little bit away but just lands on the same wall. Lukas is not done yet. He follows it with his gaze. He even stands up on his hind legs to get a better look at the situation.
It is that classic “need to know everything” vibe. This Golden Retriever is just stalking the mosquito in the video. He looks very tall when he stretches like that. But the interest doesn’t last long. He finally decides he has seen enough.
He plops back down on all fours. He twists around and walks right over to his human. And then he just walks away. He finds a toy on the floor and picks it up. He is ready for some attention now. The camera tilts back to the mosquito which hasn’t moved. But Lukas has zero interest anymore. He has stuff to do.
The comments are full of laughing emojis. It is actually very funny to watch how he just froze in place. He is a model for a reason. He is very polite about the whole thing. He didn’t even try to bark. He just wanted to investigate. It is just another afternoon in the life of a very curious dog.
