Buck is only three months old, but he already has his entire morning schedule figured out in the Canadian snow. He sprints to the backyard fence every single day. There’s a neighbor pup named Winston who is always there. And they are basically obsessed with each other. This puppy doesn’t even care about the cold as long as he gets to wait at the fence. It’s all on video over at @buck.thebernese. It turns out they are almost the exact same age. Only a week apart. It is pretty much the most wholesome neighborhood situation ever.
Puppy and Golden Retriever pup form a bond quickly in adorable video
The video shows Buck reaching the fence, tail up, body wiggly. Winston, a Golden Retriever pup, is on the other side looking just as excited. Then they spend some time trying to dig through the snow together from different sides of the wire. Buck “says” in the video that he knew they would be brothers right away.
And even though Winston has way more energy, Buck likes him anyway. Bernese Mountain Dogs are usually pretty laid back, even when they are small. So he just sits there and watches his friend zoom around a bush patiently. He is totally fine with just being near his best friend.
Everyone in the comments is already obsessed. Someone even mentioned that a gate project is definitely in the works for the near future. It makes sense. Because these two just want to have a real playdate. People are asking for daily updates on the situation. The puppy just stands there with his nose pressed against the fence. And Winston’s tail is wagging wildly on the other side. They are still waiting for that first official meeting.
But for now, they are happy just chilling in the backyard. Buck eventually runs back to his house through the deep snow. And he’ll be right back there tomorrow morning. He looks so happy just to have a buddy who lives right next door.
