A rescue dog named Cactus has captured attention online. This happened after a video showed his joyful reaction to seeing his owner again after 36 hours apart. The clip, shared by Mike Brown under the handle @cactustherescue, documents the moment the pup realizes his human has returned to pick him up after a short stay away.
Text displayed on the video reads, “My rescue pup reacts to not seeing me for 36 hours.” As soon as Cactus spots Brown, his entire demeanor changes. His mouth stretches into a toothy grin while his tail swings rapidly from side to side. The dog appears unable to contain his excitement, leaning in as Brown approaches him. Brown greets Cactus with loving pats and scratches, and the dog immediately melts into the attention, pressing close and soaking up every bit of affection.
In the caption accompanying the video, Brown shared more about Cactus’s mini getaway. He explained that the dog had been staying at his “uncle’s” place and spent much of the weekend perched on a balcony, calmly watching the surroundings. According to Brown, the balcony quickly became Cactus’s favorite hangout spot, aside from occasional adventures on the tennis court, which Brown joked doubled as the pup’s bathroom break area.
