Percy definitely wasn’t coming home empty-handed after his latest trek through the city. He is a Yellow Labrador who lives with the crew at @mylabrachildren, and he has a serious thing for collecting treasures. In a new video, he is spotted strutting down a park path with a giant purple rabbit toy clamped firmly in his jaws. He looks incredibly proud, and his tail is basically a blur of excitement. This breed has a natural instinct to retrieve and carry things around, and Percy is clearly taking that job very seriously today.
Labrador won’t let go of the rabbit he found on his walk
The journey back home is anything but a short walk around the block. The video shows the Labrador prancing past buildings and busy sidewalks without ever losing his grip on the rabbit toy. He even walks right past those iconic red phone booths on the London streets with the long purple ears of the rabbit toy dragging on the pavement. He doesn’t seem to care that it’s getting a bit dusty. The boy just keeps moving.
And he carries it through narrow alleys and even past a famous red double-decker bus. It is honestly impressive how much stamina he has for this mission. “He’s so happy when he’s carrying something. Look how proud he is,” his owner wrote. At one point, he even has to navigate a railway footbridge. He climbs all the way up the stairs and back down the other side while still holding onto the plushie.
Most dogs would have dropped it halfway through, but Percy is committed. In the video, the Labrador focuses on carrying the rabbit toy through another park until he finally reaches his own driveway. The second he gets home, he just drops it. Job done.
Over 1,600 people have liked the clip so far. One fan mentioned they could see envious looks from passersby on the sidewalk. Another person joked that it was funny that he just abandoned it the moment they hit the driveway. “Fred loves treasure but he wouldn’t carry it as long,” someone else commented. Percy demonstrates strong dedication to his finds.
