Video: Deaf Dog Possibly Understands Sign Language

Faith sits on the floor with her eyes locked on her mom’s hands. She knows a very important update is coming. This very special girl lives in Minnesota and spends her time spreading love and awareness for other pets. On her handle @deafdogofmn, there is a new video showing how the deaf dog she keeps track of communicates comings and goings. Her eyes never move. She is watching every single hand movement of her mom. And that’s because she relies on American Sign Language to get the news.

Dog runs to the door after owner signals about her sisters

Mom starts to sign that the sisters are finally home. The bus is pulling up outside right now. Faith cannot hear the engine or the brakes. But she gets the message immediately. “She doesn’t even let me finish signing before she runs away,” her owner says in the caption. She does a quick little lap around her mom.

She even does a double-take to make sure she didn’t miss anything. And then she sprints to the front door. She has to see it for herself. Faith stands at the glass storm door, staring at the street. Her head moves side to side while she watches the big yellow bus. This dog is totally focused on the bus door. And is waiting for the moment it opens. And then she sees them.

Her sisters get off the bus and start heading for the house. Her tail starts wagging so hard her whole back end moves. It just gets faster as they get closer. The girls start running toward the porch. Faith is so happy that she actually sits down with a huge thud. She can’t contain the excitement anymore.

She gets back up and starts pawing at the glass. It is a major reunion every single afternoon. We recently saw the sweet deaf dog do this for her dad in another video. She just loves welcoming her family home. Over 2,400 people liked the clip because it is so beautiful to watch. One viewer said they love how the tail wagging just takes over.
