Video: Rescue Dog Learned How to Loaf Because of His Past

Arlo, the Cane Corso, basically sits like a cat in a giant body. This goofy guy from @arlo_canecorso is currently trending because of his very specific sitting style. Most people expect a big Mastiff dog to just sprawl out across the floor. But this clip gives us a glimpse into the fact that his early life was a bit different. He was actually at a cat sanctuary for a while. And it really shows. As we see in the video, this dog has completely mastered the art of loafing.

Cane Corso’s loafing skills come from his past

When the video starts, he is sitting right in the middle of the bed. His front paws are tucked neatly under his chest, and his head keeps bobbing because he is fighting a nap. And that “eepy blinking” is also just very cat-like, as one viewer pointed out. This dog spent his early days surrounded by felines. So naturally, he just copied what everyone else was doing. Instead of outstretched limbs, he just folds himself up.

His human gave him “10/10 for the unexpected loafing skills” in the video caption, and it seems like it has got the internet officially obsessed. One viewer said they fostered their pet specifically for this sitting style. They think that the dogs who loaf are the most chill animals ever. And our guy Arlo is definitely proving that right. He is just a big, happy pup with his paws tucked in.

He looks so comfortable in his forever home now. Moreover, he still has that “cheeky” personality. Actually, some people think this trait might just be part of his breed. But it is much more fun to think he just liked his old roommates’ style.

It is just one of those things that makes you glad he found his people. He has the bed and all the comforts a rescue needs. However, he still keeps that little bit of his past. Truly, it is the best way to spend a sleepy afternoon.
