Video: Husky Does This Every Time the Owner Reaches Out to Pet Her

Korra, the fun-sized Husky behind the @korrabora account, has a very strict “no touching” policy that she enforces with the speed of a professional celebrity. In this video, her human is basically begging for a crumb of affection while she stands by the dining table looking entirely suspicious. It isn’t that she doesn’t like him. She just seems to find the concept of being petted deeply offensive to her independent spirit.

Husky makes it clear she’s not a fan of being pet by owner

The whole interaction between the Husky and her dad seems to be a game of tag where only Korra knows the rules. Jadin literally asks her, “See, what’s the point of a dog if I can’t pet it?” and she just looks away. Cold. The poor guy even tries to negotiate. He promises he’s not going to restrain her or anything. But Korra isn’t buying it.

However, she stays there just long enough to keep his hopes up. She does these little false starts, twitching like she’s about to bolt but staying just close enough to keep the drama going. And then it gets desperate. Jadin says, “Yo, girl, please… I have anxiety. I just want to pet.” You’d think that would work. Wrong.

He extends his arm, and that’s it. She does a couple of spins, launches herself onto the couch, and then dives straight under the coffee table like she’s hiding in a bunker. She seems fully convinced that the table is a magical barrier against human hands. The video shows the Husky just sitting there, avoiding all pets. Happy. “It’s a NO from Korra!” as another viewer put it.

It’s that “Husky’s gonna husky” energy that earned nearly 900 likes. One commenter even asked, “Do we all own the same dog?” because the refusal to be affectionate on command is a universal experience for these owners. Jadin ends up filming the underside of his furniture while Korra sits there like a hermit. The second he gives up and says, “That’s not fair,” she starts crawling back out. Typical. The video only proves that this Husky wants the attention, just not the pets.
