Video: Rescue Dog Tucks Herself In Perfectly Every Night

Snow day means you get to be as cozy as humanly — or in this case caninely — possible. And you really need to see how Sandra is handling the winter weather over at @sassysandramae on TikTok. The rescue Mutt has this whole elaborate construction project involving quilts and pillows that she executes every single night. But it just becomes more meaningful on a really cold day. Her latest video shows her abandoning her warm couch spot for the “big bed,” and the way this dog manages to tuck herself is a self-care art form.

Dog knows how to tuck herself in every night

Stay warm out there friends! Sandra tucks herself in EVERY SINGLE NIGHT… but tonight feels extra cozy ❄️ #snowstorm

When Sandra hears, “It’s time to tuck yourself in,” she just gets up and walks to the bedroom like this is part of her nightly checklist. Which, apparently, it is. Then she waits. Because manners. Mom tells her, “Come on up, Sandra,” and that is exactly what she does. The bed is neatly made, and she starts digging at the quilt as if the treasure of restful sleep lies there.

It’s the best part of the video because this dog is so serious about how she chooses to tuck herself into a little cocoon. You can see that scrappy rescue energy coming out as she moulds the blankets into the perfect shape.

She shoves her head under the pillows while still standing — which looks a bit ridiculous, but whatever works — and then does this perfect 360-degree spin. And just collapses. She ends up half-covered and half-out, looking up with those “are you coming?” eyes. Hundreds of people loved her little ritual. One person mentioned Sandy was giving them total “cozy vibes,” and that truly is the whole vibe of the video.

Mom gives her some head pets and tells her she’s snug as a bug. Sandra just closes her eyes. It’s the ultimate snow day move. Just blankets and a warm room. We should all probably take a page out of her book tonight. If you’ve got a blanket nearby, you know the drill.
