In a hilarious Instagram video from @aspenshores, two rescue dogs — Aspen and Willow — get visibly confused and increasingly impatient when they realize their mom pulled up in a different car. The onscreen caption tells the story, “When you & your mom take seperate vehicles.” It adds, “But realize you’re both going to the park,” speaking from the dogs’ point of view as they think, “Get me outta here.”
Dogs get increasingly impatient after seeing mom show up in a different car
The video shows one of the two dogs, Aspen the Husky, in the back seat, sitting close to the open window of a red car. Aspen’s face and pointed ears fill the frame as he whines and watches the car next to him like he is trying to solve a mystery — and then Willow later pops into view too.
Suddenly, both dogs lock their eyes on mom, sitting just a few feet away in the other car. As the video goes on, the dogs keep staring and vocalizing like they can’t understand why mom is “over there” instead of opening their door immediately as the video’s caption voices their frustration: “Even in separate vehicles they take too long to get us out.”
Viewers couldn’t get enough of the dramatic energy. One person joked, “Did she want a faster get away car?” While another spoke on behalf of the dogs, “We see you mom, now hurry up.”
A third viewer wrote what the dogs thought: “Get me out now mom, I want to go play!” Another commenter captured the whole relatable chaos of it, writing, “This is way too relatable. Separate cars… same destination… maximum impatience.”
Dogs are experts at learning routines fast. Besides, a car ride with the windows down usually means something good is coming — so, when mom shows up in a different car and doesn’t instantly open the door, Aspen and Willow might have treated it like an emergency.
What’s clear from the video, though, is that the rescue dogs can’t wait to get out of the car and reunite with their mom in the park.
