Dachshunds, often affectionately called sausage dogs, were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers and other burrowing animals. Their long bodies and short legs were designed to help them dig and navigate underground tunnels. Despite their compact build, Dachshunds are known for being bold, curious, and surprisingly energetic.
While they may enjoy lounging at home, Dachshunds still require regular exercise to stay healthy and mentally stimulated.
