The rescue pup had to be carried because it rained heavily
Cactus, a rescue pup, and his owner, Mike Brown, were out when a sudden Miami rainstorm rolled in without warning. At first, they waited it out under a tree, hoping the downpour would ease. Instead, the rain only became heavier, soaking them within minutes.
As the situation worsened, Brown decided to make a run for home. While doing so, Cactus became distracted after spotting another dog across the park and started pulling in the opposite direction. Not wanting to lose time or risk slipping on the wet ground, Brown scooped Cactus up and continued running, carrying him through the rain. The entire moment was captured on camera by Brown’s girlfriend, who happened to be watching the scene unfold from nearby.
The video then cuts to the aftermath, showing Brown and Cactus standing at their front door, visibly wet but safe. In the caption, Brown explained what happened, noting that picking up Cactus was the fastest way to complete what he jokingly referred to as “the mission.” He also expressed his gratitude that his girlfriend managed to record the moment.
