Video: Golden Retriever Dad & Daughter Share a Drink of Water

Puppy videos should win the Nobel Peace Prize, just for the amount of joy they bring to people’s lives. And this one gets you almost immediately. In a video shared by @loki_sanj, a very large dog carefully makes room for a puppy who’s still figuring things out. Loki and his daughter Nami don’t make a big deal out of sharing; they just do it. In the sweet video, the Golden Retriever pair is seen using a single bowl. It’s just a water bowl, but the moment feels bigger than that.

Golden Retrievers drink from the same bowl in adorable video

The clip starts with a view from behind, where you can see Nami’s tail wagging while she drinks. She is clearly thrilled to be doing “big dog” things with her dad. At one point, she gives a sideways glance at Loki’s face, almost like she’s studying his technique to make sure she’s lapping the water correctly. It is a total “like father, like daughter” moment. Loki doesn’t seem to mind the crowded bowl at all; he just keeps his head to one side, so the little one has plenty of room to splash around.

When the camera shifts to the front, you can see how intentionally Loki positions himself. The on-screen text suggests that if you’re having a bad day, this is the exact content you need to see. One viewer even joked that dog content like this releases more dopamine than anything else on their feed.

Both pups give their human a quick, distracted glance before going back to their water. Once Nami has finally had enough, she looks right at the lens with a soaking wet snout and the most satisfied expression. She seems proud of herself, wet face and all.

The post has already racked up over 6,700 likes from people who can’t get enough of the “chubby little baby girl” and her polite dad. It’s just a simple moment, but it’s a great example of how these dogs handle family life. Loki is clearly doing a great job showing Nami the ropes, even if it means getting a bit of extra water splashed on the floor.
