Neptune, an English Cream Golden Retriever, has people laughing again, thanks to an adorable video showing his various sleeping positions. His owner and Instagram user, @goldenboyneptune, posted the video with the onscreen caption, “The many sleeping positions of Neptune,” and it’s basically Neptune doing whatever he wants while he sleeps on the couch. Safe to say, viewers love every bit of it.

The adorable video begins with the Golden Retriever’s head pressed against the sofa, and then his face is buried into the corner like he is trying to disappear into the cushions in the next scene.
He doesn’t stay still. Each scene shows that he has shifted a little, like he is unintentionally trying out spots. One moment Neptune is curled up tight, then he stretches a leg straight out, and then he folds himself up again. None of it looks comfortable, but it does not seem to bother him.
The Golden moves through several weird little poses. Some look like he fell asleep in the middle of some thought, while others look like he slid down the couch and just stayed wherever he landed. And it looks like he wouldn’t wake up for anything — until he does.
When he wakes up, it’s hilarious. He jerks his head up fast, eyes wide, like he heard somebody say his name or he dreamt something strange. Then he just sits there staring around the room, completely lost, like he has no clue what he is waking up to.
Viewers loved Neptune’s sleeping habits. One person laughed, “He looks so clueless in the end lol,” while a separate comment read, “Sleeping peacefully as he should.” Meanwhile, a viewer was curious as they asked, “What was that jumpscare all about?” Another wrote, “This is too cute!”
