Some dogs just know the time. They know exactly when the house is about to get loud again. Meko is one of those pups. He is an XL American Bully with a massive heart for his humans. Over at @meko_xlbully, a sweet video shows he has been the unofficial welcoming committee for years. He started this routine as a tiny puppy. Back then, he just sat right at the threshold of the front door. He would wait for his sisters to get home from school, and he hasn’t missed a day since.

The throwback footage shows him as a little guy sitting in the sun. He is sniffing the air outside while staying inside the house. He just stays there patiently. This breed is usually very loyal and family-oriented, and so this job really suits him. He looks so focused. Eyes on the road for the bus.
And then the clip cuts to him getting much bigger. But the routine is exactly the same. Meko sits with his front paws just past the door and waits like it is his actual career. He looks around and catches different scents on the breeze. The video even shows him on a cloudy day. He doesn’t care about the weather. He just wants his girls back home, safe and sound.
When they finally walk through the door, his whole vibe changes. Meko goes from a serious guard to a happy mess of wiggles. He gets so many pets and hugs from his sisters. It is a wholesome reunion every single day. The on-screen caption says “this will be a core memory” one day. And you can see why. He is such a soft soul. He really loves his girls and his mom. “Sonbun will be waiting by the door,” the owner says.
