Video: Dog’s First Meeting With Goldador Puppy Is Too Cute

Pecco the Golden Retriever wasn’t expecting any major life updates when he walked into the living room with his favorite toy in his mouth. But the whole vibe in the house that day was clearly different. In the Instagram video shared by @theadventuresofpeccoandbucky, his mom is sitting cross-legged on the floor with tiny eight-week-old Bucky, the Goldador, in her lap. It’s their first time seeing each other. Pecco spots the puppy, pauses mid-step. And then gives a single uncertain tail wag as if he’s trying to understand why this small creature is staring back at him. You can tell Pecco is trying to process big feelings in real time.

And clearly, everyone watching felt those big feelings with him — the video has already pulled in over 17K likes. It starts with Pecco walking straight up to Mom, toy still in his mouth, eyes flicking curiously toward the puppy. Bucky sniffs him first, which seems to short-circuit Pecco entirely; he drops the toy, stares, then gently leans in for another sniff before retreating like he needs a moment to regroup.

When he heads into his crate, mom calls out, “Hello, hello… look, it’s Bucky!” but Pecco stays put just long enough to gather himself. Eventually, he shuffles back out, pacing with a little more purpose — he wants to understand what this tiny roommate situation is all about. Bucky, meanwhile, keeps his eyes glued to him, cautious but fascinated.

Mom tries placing Bucky on the floor again, but the little guy settles right back into her lap. Pecco edges close enough that it looks like he might offer his toy… and then changes his mind and wanders off, still figuring out how to be a big brother.

It’s all incredibly tender — a gentle dog trying to process a life update, a baby pup trying to make sense of his new world, and two parents narrating proudly in the background. And based on the comments (“They’re going to be the best of friends,” “Need to process, lots of big feelz”), everyone already knows where this sibling story is headed.
