Video: Boxer Keeps Creating a Mess in Mom’s Cleaning Routine

Dog moms don’t have it easy, and a Boxer’s video proves exactly that. A new Instagram video from @royalprincesspoppy, featuring Princess Poppy the Boxer, strikes a chord with dog parents on the internet. The clip shows how a dog mom tries to keep the house tidy, again and again. But the dog holds strong opinions about housework, leading to a playful back-and-forth that has viewers in stitches.

Mom cleans and Boxer messes it up in viral video

The Boxer’s video opens with the on-screen caption, “POV: You’re a dog mom trying to clean the house.” In the first footage, the owner quietly folds a blanket, shakes it out on the balcony, and spreads it over the bed while Poppy silently watches. But when the blanket is smooth and tidy, Poppy springs up on the bed and settles in. The on-screen text sums up her inner voice: “Hair free blanket? Don’t mind if I do.”

Next comes the carpet. After the owner vacuums the rug, the scene cuts to Poppy snacking on it with crumbs scattered around. The text reads, “Carpets too clean rn” and “I’ll fix it” as the dog makes a mess. From there, the owner turns to the windows. Once she’s done wiping the glass, Poppy chimes in with “Glass cleaner? A sweet treat!” as she licks the windows.

Finally, matters turn to the floor: after a complete wipe-down, the Boxer heads to her water bowl and drinks with gusto. As a result, she drips water across the just-mopped surface. The on-screen caption deadpans with “Floors look nice” and “Be a shame if someone..dripped on them.”

Safe to say, viewers loved the video. Under the post, one user commented, “Looked you right in the EYE as she floated on past,” while another wrote, “Oh, Poppy. You’ll always be a royal princess.” Meanwhile, a user sympathized, writing, “Oh I feel your pain! We clean up and they laugh!” But another highlighted the positive: “She’s just trying to keep you from getting bored by giving you things to do.”

In the video, a pattern repeats: the Boxer’s mom cleans the house, Poppy “fixes” it, and the cycle starts again — something many pet owners recognize.
