Video: Owner Is Surprised by Her Dogs’ Energy After a ‘Long Walk’

There’s a saying that a tired dog is a happy dog. However, for some breeds, “tired” is a state their owners rarely get to see. Long walks, endless games of fetch, and even playdates with other pups often only put a small dent in their energy reserves. That was exactly the case in a video for one dog owner, whose two rescue Pit Bull mixes saved their wildest burst of energy not for the park, but for the couch at home.

Owners call their dogs ‘tornadoes’ because of what they did after their walk

The reel features Pua and Paka, two rescue dogs that their owner lovingly refers to as “baby tornadoes.” The nickname couldn’t be more fitting, as the pair were filmed tearing through the living room with no signs of slowing down. The video captures them hopping up and down on the couch, spinning around, and scrambling across the sheets as though they were in the middle of a canine rodeo.

Their owner admits that life with Pua and Paka often means sacrificing furniture. Joking about the state of their home, they said they’ve accepted that a “nice couch” is out of the question with these two around. What makes the clip even more entertaining is the timing. As per their owner, this was all happening after the two had already been taken on a long walk. Instead of winding down, Pua and Paka exploded with even more energy. Their owner captioned the moment with the words, “The pittie bootie scooties cannot be stopped.”

One viewer suggested that the pups treat outdoor exercise as a primer for their real fun indoors. Another pointed out the small but funny details, writing about how the two pups paused only to “catch their lil breaths” before taking off again.

Some comments reflected on the sweetness of the dogs’ bond. “Nothing better than two dogs that love each other,” one viewer shared. Others focused on the joy behind the chaos. “I gladly say my goodbyes to any couch if I can see my babies that happy omg,” wrote another. It’s a trade-off most pet parents understand — happy, healthy dogs are worth a little damage at home.
