Video: Daycare Dogs Pick Their Favorite Staff Member & There’s No Clear Winner

We all know how affectionate dogs can be, but asking them to pick just one human to shower with love quickly gets complicated. Their “choices” can hinge on smells, treats, moods, or even the perfect scratch behind the ears. Nico’s Doggy Daycare captured this humorous dilemma in a video where 14 dogs attempted (and mostly failed) to select their preferred staff member.

Daycare dogs choose their favorite among three staff members in video

At Nico’s Doggy Daycare, staff members Kay, Lydia, and Mollie were recently put to the ultimate test: which of them would the daycare dogs consider their favorite? The daycare shared a video on Instagram featuring 14 pups being given the chance to choose their favorite caretaker. The results, however, quickly proved that doggy loyalties are rarely straightforward.

In the clip, the three staff members sit side by side while each dog is released one by one. The first pup, Woody, immediately approaches Lydia, but then quickly moves on to Mollie and finally Kay, eager to distribute affection to everyone. Most of the other dogs follow a similar pattern, demonstrating that for them, love isn’t limited to just one human. A few pups did show slight preference for a particular staff member, but the overwhelming takeaway is that all three caregivers share the dogs’ hearts equally.

Naturally, viewers couldn’t resist weighing in on the chaos. One said, “Most of the precious sweeties want to give all three of you a little love.” Another wrote, “They all look very happy to see you that’s a win.” Someone also quipped, “Wait, this is a job? Nobody told me this on career day,” imagining a dream career of cuddles and puppy kisses. Many praised the staff too, with comments like, “Clearly you take great care of the pups!”

Though no single staff member claimed the crown, it’s hard to argue with the results. When 14 dogs are equally smitten, every human involved has already scored major points.
