Rescue Puppy Bravely Faces a Lizard for the First Time in Cute Video

A funny yet adorable video shows a rescue puppy coming across a lizard for the first time, and his reaction is winning the internet. A dog named Cactus, who was found in the deserts of California, has been living his best life with his doting dad in Miami. The duo has continued to melt hearts with their wholesome moments and boasts over half a million followers on Instagram. A recent video shared a glimpse of Cactus’ latest adventure when he encountered a lizard for the first time.

Rescue puppy’s first time encountering a lizard goes viral

Cactus, a rescue puppy, has been having new experiences, since he moved to a new place with his dad, Mike Brown. This includes seeing a lizard for the first timeThe dog owner shared in the Instagram Reel’s caption that the fur baby is “discovering all kinds of new critters around the house.” Brown continued to share that Cactus is “totally locked in on the lizards.” The canine’s dad also shared that he “like he wants to chase them.”

However, when Cactus actually finds a lizard, he “jumps three feet in the air.” The video showcased the same. It began with Cactus barking from inside the house after spotting a lizard in the backyard. The rescue puppy jumped a few times and went side by side near the glass door. After seeing how restless Cactus was getting, Brown told him, “Hey, it’s just a lizard!”

The pup’s dad finally picked him up in his arms and took him outside to take a closer look. However, by then, the lizard had already gone back to the bushes. Cactus then jumped out of Brown’s arms and continued to look for the reptile in the backyard. Meanwhile, the video has left the internet amused and racked up almost half a million views at the time of writing.

Several users also rushed to the Instagram Reel’s comments section to join in on Cactus’ fun. One wrote, “A little backyard! You are moving up in the world Cactus.” Another joked, “good thing he didn’t overreact!!”
