Video: Owner Uses Peanut Butter To Distract Pit Bull From Nail Trimming & It Works

Be it at home or in shops, a pup’s grooming session is one tedious task. Not all pooch loves to get wet or get their nails trimmed. Many dogs are scared of these sessions. Even this Pit Bull goes through similar emotions when it comes to his nail trimming session. However, instead of letting it go, the pet owner comes up with a brilliant plan. Interestingly, this works like a charm after a few trials. The dog mom has captured the efforts and uploaded her Pit Bull’s nail-trimming video on Instagram to help owners facing a similar situation.

Owner makes big progress on Pit Bull’s nail trimming using peanut butter in video

Trimming the nails of the pups is one task that every pet parent dreads. But instead of caving in, Viveca tricked her beloved Pit Bull, Mochi, into trimming his nails with his favorite peanut butter. The video, uploaded by @vivecachow, shows how the smart dog mom lures Mochi into getting his nail trimmed.

Before accomplishing the major task of cutting her pooch’s nails, Viveca starts with the prep work. After being inspired by many online clips, the owner wraps a cling film on her head and slathers peanut butter on it, hoping to distract her “biggest softie” while trimming his nails. Since the pooch is “always too scared” to get his nails trimmed, the owner hopes this trick will work. And it indeed does. A few attempts and cling films later, the dog mom finally succeeds in trimming Mochi’s nails.

Soon after the upload, the Pit Bull’s nail-trimming video became a hit with many pet parents experiencing a similar struggle with their fur babies. They thanked the dog mom for the idea, saying they will try this idea on their canines as well. However, many loved how Viveca drew Mochi’s attention to her head, saying, “I am the peanut butter.”

Some Instagram users even shared their story in the comment section. One person mentioned, “Been training mine the last 2 years and still no nail!! A Win for you!” Meanwhile, another pet parent wrote, “I clip my dogs nails every Saturday at 1am so she’s too sleepy for shenanigans like running away.”
