Two Golden Retriever brothers, Sterling and Colin, displayed very opposite behaviors while at their favorite groomers in a viral Instagram video. The clip, posted on the account @lifeofsterlingnewton, showed how the owner as well as the grooming staff handled the two canines, each with a completely different personality.

Experts have often highlighted the importance of grooming for a canine. However, nothing can prepare a dog parent for how their pet reacts to the grooming session. In an Instagram video posted in April, an owner revealed the striking difference between their two Golden Retrievers, Sterling and Colin, while at the groomers. While the former was his calm and well-behaved self, his brother unleashed utter chaos, which left the netizens in stitches.
The owner captioned the Instagram video, “Always fun at Lynda’s,” noting how Colin made “himself at home” with his chaotic behavior. The pet parent, however, was grateful to their groomer, who they claimed was “like their family.”
The clip began with Sterling and Colin peacefully waiting for their turns before one of them wreaked havoc. At first, the owner captured a “calm” Sterling, who was thoroughly “well behaved” during his grooming session. He cooperated with the groomer as she trimmed his nails, bathed him, and followed it all with a relaxing blow-drying session.
Meanwhile, his brother Colin ran around the clinic, explored the desks and drawers, and couldn’t control his excitement during bath time. He kept leaping out of the tub as the groomer gently placed him back in.
Despite the groomer’s best efforts, Colin continued causing chaos at the groomers. At one point, he also stole what appears to be a biscuit from a desk. The canine also sniffed around different items, prompting one of the staff members to lift him and put him down.
Netizens and fellow dog parents couldn’t get enough of the Golden Retrievers’ behavior. One joked that Colin was lining up to be on “Santa’s naughty list.” Another noted how the pup must meet his “daily chaos quota.” A follower quipped that Sterling and Colin’s behavior equaled out, keeping the balance in place.
