Video: Golden Retriever Puppy ‘Upset’ After Being Tricked Into Getting His Nails Trimmed

These days, pet owners have to get really creative to outsmart their furry babies. They know their dog would instantly disappear even before they finish saying “bath.” Using superior tactics to get the best of them is always an option, but it comes at a cost — trust issues. For instance, this Golden Retriever puppy got visibly “upset” the day his dog parents tricked him into getting his nails trimmed and recalled the torturous experience in a hilarious Instagram video. Here’s how it went for Dunkin.

Dogs have their pet peeves, too. Bath time? Your fur baby suddenly becomes Houdini, and don’t even talk about giving them medicines when they’re sick or going to the barber’s for a fresh haircut. Similarly, an Instagram video showed how nail trimming was a no-go for this Golden Retriever puppy until his dog parents tricked him into it. The funny post shared Dunkin’s side of what he described as a torturous experience as he remembered the day his parents betrayed him with the “double pet 3000” and peanut butter lick mat.

The Golden pup narrated the events from the day his mom and dad almost “tried to kill” him in the most overdramatic way. He then blamed himself for not seeing the signs — the pets and his favorite chunky peanut butter lick mat — and revealed how suspicious these made him, but he still failed to see what was coming his way. The clips showed Dunkin gearing up, and little did he know that it was only the calm before the storm. Finally, his dad went straight in with the trimmers as he enjoyed the treat.

Besides dissing his dog dad, the Golden Retriever puppy showed how he took the nail trimming session like a pro in the video. “I mean, come on, look at how flexible I am,” the voiceover said while narrating Dunkin’s inner monologue. The pooch later bragged about being flawless and “good at everything,” unlike his mom, who he believes is “far from perfect.” Meanwhile, his parents had the most apt response to his rant. “We are just trying to clip ur nails,” they commented, as others praised him for “doing good” and demanded “justice” for him.
