Video Shows Difference Between a Senior & Young Dog Swimming

Golden Retrievers‘ affinity for water is a well-known fact. Take them to the beach and see their tails wagging happily, showing their eagerness to jump in the water. They can easily spend hours in the deep blue sea without any fuss, especially the young pups who are always eager to paddle as fast as possible.

The older fur babies, on the other hand, might be slow to swim, but they will never let their age hinder their water time. This is exactly what a pet owner has captured in a video, highlighting the difference between a senior and a young dog swimming. It’s too cute to miss.

Senior Golden Retriever is infinitely calm while swimming

With young and senior dogs as pets, one is bound to see how age affects their activities. Take these two Golden Retrievers, for instance. The young pup, Summit Barnes, is 3 years old, while his older brother, Baker, is 13 years old. But what these golden fur babies have in common is their love for swimming. However, due to their age, the swimming pattern and speed of the dogs are in contrast, which the owner captured in the video.

Posted by @bakerbarnes, the clip shows the young Golden Retriever paddle through the water quickly as if he has somewhere to reach. Meanwhile, his older brother is infinitely calm and composed while swimming in his favorite lake. Baker seems to be enjoying every moment in the water and doing his best to live in the moment by looking at the beautiful lake and the scenery. No wonder the pet parents call the “senior “Tunaboat.”

The dog swimming video has touched many hearts. Netizens took to the comment section of the clip to share their thoughts. One person said, “We love to see both of them going at their own pace and just enjoying the crystal clear waters of their favourite place.” Another user commented, “Watching Bakes slow swimmers bit of a tear jerker but Summit is like…got places to go people to see.” The adorable video has received more than 24K likes at the time of writing.
