Strudel, a Goldendoodle with long, curly fur and an extremely expressive face, recently became an internet sensation for her less-than-thrilled reaction to her owner’s bath-time creativity. The now-viral video opens with the soft tones of Michael Bublé’s “Love” playing in the background. As the lyrics begin — “L is for the way you look at me…” — Strudel’s owner gently shapes the letter “L” into her wet fur, kicking off a playful attempt to spell the entire word on her dog’s forehead.
With each letter, the owner continues: “O… V…” but runs into trouble with “E,” eventually admitting defeat at the failed effort. The real highlight of the clip, however, isn’t the spelling — it’s Strudel’s face. From the moment the video starts, she wears an expression that can only be described as pure tolerance mixed with slight betrayal.
The canine’s wide eyes and still body say everything: “I did not sign up for this.” In the caption, the owner summed it up with a bit of self-awareness, writing: “I did not L-O-V-E this activity.” Based on Strudel’s expression, that’s a fair assessment.
