Labrador Is Having the Crabbiest Day Ever in Adorable Video

We’ve all had those mornings when you’re hoping for a cozy sleep-in, but someone in the house is already annoyed you didn’t stick to the plan. For one dog owner, that someone was her pup, Moose. The chocolate Labrador threw an adorably crabby tantrum after she skipped his walk, and the video of his melodramatic response is giving people major “moody roommate” energy.

‘Crabby’ Labrador makes it know he is very, very cranky in cute Instagram video

Moose wasn’t having it when his mom, Mel Hakes, decided to sleep in on a Saturday. In a video shared to Instagram, the Labrador is seen sitting stiffly on the couch, his body posture almost human-like, with an arched back and a blank stare that screams disappointment. He puts his grumpiness on full display, making it known to everyone just how upset he is.

Hakes, who is filming the moment, gently greets him with a “good morning” and asks why he is mad. Moose doesn’t bark or whine; he simply gives her a side-eye, clearly signaling his displeasure. Hakes reminds him that he already went for a walk with his dad earlier that morning. However, it becomes clear that the issue wasn’t the walk itself. Moose had been waiting for his mom to join them, and her absence seemed to leave him genuinely disappointed.

“Because mommy want to sleep in on a Saturday,” she explains in the video, she explains in the video, holding back a laugh as Moose continues his exaggerated sulk. The pup eventually turns his head away and plants it on a nearby pillow like a pouting child. However, the moment Hakes mentions the possibility of going on a walk later, his ears perk up and his attitude shifts almost instantly.

She jokingly calls him a “crabby boy” and tells him he needs to lose the attitude if he wants to come along. The entire interaction feels like something straight out of a sitcom, and the internet agrees. One commenter wrote, “He looks like he just worked a 9-5 and had a couple beers.” Another added, “The sigh, he’s human I’m sure of it.” Someone else couldn’t stop laughing at the dramatic moment Moose tipped over onto the pillow, writing, “The tip over took me out!”
