A dog and human reunion will always warm netizens’ hearts, but even more so when it has a touching story behind it. Owner Jason Tartick, who previously appeared on the reality show “The Bachelorette,” posted about his reunion with his adopted pup, Teddy. He previously shared how the canine had to undergo a training program to overcome trauma from past abuse and work on his reactivity towards others. The reunion photos were as heartwarming as one would imagine, with the rescue dog showering his owner with lots of love and hugs.

Last week, Jason Tartick shared on Instagram that he has finally reunited with his adopted dog, Teddy, who had previously enrolled in a four-week “board and train program.” The photos captured the two sharing loving hugs, with the pair beaming with happiness and joy. The former reality star, who adopted the pup on Valentine’s Day this year, shared an update on how his furry companion was doing.
Tartick exclaimed, “Reunited at last!! Teddy is back and doing so well!” He expressed how important it was to address the rescue dog’s reactivity due to his abusive past. The owner further shared that the canine’s new “peace of mind” concerning other dogs, humans, and even moving objects “is truly a dream.”
Through the training process, the pet parent also realized that Teddy has 16 different breeds in his DNA, including German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Chow Chow, and more. Tartick described how important it was for him to understand this to contribute to his furbaby’s development and well-being. He confessed to being deeply invested in this process, further noting that Teddy “has officially been rescued in many more ways than one,” as was the “The Bachelorette” star himself.
Back in April, Tartick shared a heartwarming note on Instagram, informing his fans and followers about Teddy’s training. Calling the rescue dog “a huge lover across the board,” he stressed the importance of learning about his furry companion’s behaviors with a trusted trainer’s support.
Speaking to Dr. Josie Horchak in an episode of the podcast “In the Vet’s Office,” Tartick shared Teddy’s tear-jerking story. The dog’s previous owner was allegedly arrested, because of which Teddy was in an outdoor shelter until the man was found guilty. The former banker met the pup the day after the non-profit, Wags & Walks, took him in.
