Instagram video shows a senior dog using a wall as a support while reaching for a treat

Senior dog Happy once took a liking to a wall and never left its side. The Golden Retriever, who is over 16 years old, made millions smile with his actions in a viral TikTok video posted on his account. The owner shared a sweet interaction with the dog, capturing Happy walking up to them to grab his treat. However, it was his walk from the corridor to his parent that left a special place in netizens’ hearts.

The TikTok video featured a house corridor where the senior dog stood on a carpet, waiting to walk and fetch his treat. After settling himself for a bit, Happy hopped to lean on a big wall for support. From then on began his short yet fun journey to reach his parent. Throughout the way, the canine grazed against the wall, seemingly offering himself some stability to make the treat-fetching process smoother.

While leaning on the wall, Happy also made cute little hops along the way, proving that being older doesn’t take away the fun. Eventually, he succeeded in his journey when the owner reached out their hand with the treat. The video then showed the senior dog sniffing it for a few seconds before taking a big bite and savoring the treat, truly a fruit of his success. The owner captioned the post, “A wall I’ll never paint over.”

This, however, isn’t Happy’s first time leaning on the wall. The TikTok account has captured the Golden Retriever seeking the wall’s support several times to grab his treat. Meanwhile, in the TikTok video’s comments, one fan smartly called it a “Happy trail,” while another said he made the wall his own “artdecor.”
