Security Camera Footage Reveals How Dog Puts Away His Toys After Playing

If teaching your pup to “sit” feels like a win, imagine coming home to a spotless living room, courtesy of your furry best friend. While many dogs leave a trail of toys in their wake, one particularly tidy pooch is redefining the phrase “good boy.” Thanks to a home surveillance video, we now have proof that at least one dog out there knows how to clean up his toys all by himself.

Instagram video shows how dog cleans up after playing with his toys

Ayce, a Miniature Australian Shepherd, has impressed many with his exceptional training and good behavior. His owner recently shared a video on Instagram taken from their Furbo Pet Camera, a security device designed to monitor pets at home. The footage shows Ayce methodically picking up his toys one by one with his mouth and dropping them neatly into his toy box after playing. However, he doesn’t stop there. After finishing the first room, Ayce runs into another space where he repeats the same tidy routine.

Once his task is complete, the disciplined pup sits in front of the Furbo camera and patiently waits. The camera — which includes a treat dispenser — then rewards him with snacks, which Ayce eagerly munches on. His owner jokingly captioned the post, “When he knows we’re watching,” suggesting that the dog might be showing off a bit for the camera.

The video sparked plenty of relatable reactions from viewers. One person joked about their own dog, saying, “Mine would take them all out after I put everything in the toy basket.” Someone else compared Ayce’s behavior to a classic workplace scenario, writing, “One cleaning when the camera’s on, classic employee behavior!” Others were curious about how to teach this neat trick themselves, asking, “How do we teach the pups this trick?”

To begin, reward your dog each time they pick up a toy, even if they don’t put it away yet. Once they’re comfortable holding toys, encourage them to bring the toy closer to a designated spot, like a toy basket. Use clear commands like “drop it” or “put away” paired with treats or praise when they release the toy in the right place. Gradually, your pooch will learn the full sequence, and with patience, they can master this helpful habit.
