Even this dog mom reveals her pain of owning a reactive canine in an Instagram video, showing the two different sides of her beloved pet, which not everyone gets to see.

Most dogs behave the same at home as well as outside, but this can’t be said for reactive dogs. Recently, Auzzy’s human friend uploaded a video narrating, “What’s the hardest part about owning a reactive dog?.” The clip shows Auzzy, a Border Collie, quietly enjoying the company of his mom at home. But when outside, he is one active pooch. He runs around with his gang, enjoys his treats, and walks, and this is what the owner feels sad about, “knowing that the world will never see the REAL” Auzzy.
The dog mom even wrote a heartfelt post about her reactive dog, saying, “Reactive dogs are so much more than what you see.” She even explains how Auzzy is completely different at home with his brood: “he’s loving, he’s patient, he’s always there for me.” Moreover, the Border Collie has “a tight little circle that he trusts.” But this also “breaks” the owner’s heart, “knowing that no one else gets to see this side of him.” She further said, “People can judge all they want & give us dirty looks… but they don’t know the REAL Auzzy.”
Many users came forward to show their love for Auzzy and support the pet parent. One user commented, “Yes but it also makes you appreciate their love even more.” Another person vouched, “I agree. If only people knew just how smart and loyal they really are.”
Some users even shared their experiences with their reactive dogs, with one writing, “My border collie Po is the exact same way. One of the best dogs ever and is a sweetheart.” Another person chimed in, “Here it same my dog from the shelter is Very friendly, kind and give us so much love, but in the outside or with strange people she’s the opposite and sometimes you see that she’s trying so hard to be good girl with strangers, but it just not enough. But we love her so much.”
