Darrel is once again winning hearts after his “unexpected” leap on his owner’s back was captured in a video. The furbaby’s mom shared the unedited version of the clip after the original post went viral in early April. In the previous Instagram Reel, which amassed almost six million views, the owner shared that Darrel “got a bit jelly about trick time with the cat.” They were all practicing “up” when the pup decided to “cut his place in line.”
The mom has now given a look at the candid moment that captured the hearts of many. The full video showed the cat, Luna, standing on top of a kitchen counter while the owner bent down and commanded, “up.” The kitten gradually understood and jumped onto the mama’s back. However, the trick lasted only for a few seconds before Darrel decided to dethrone Luna. The canine unexpectedly jumped onto the owner’s back while the feline was forced to step away. The owner, clearly in disbelief, exclaimed, “Oh my god! What just happened?”
The furbabies’ mom explained the moment, “Darrel does know how to jump on my back, but I promise I was just as bamboozled as anyone when this happened.” They also addressed concerns for the cat.
