Xena the Golden Retriever has a major case of bed head, which she flaunts every morning when it is time for treats. In the clip, one can see that sleep hasn’t left the canine’s eyes. However, she won’t let it get in the way of her grabbing some advent calendar treats.
Instagram video shows Golden Retriever’s many hairstyles
In an Instagram Reel from last year, Xena’s owner rated her range of hairstyles after she had just woken up. It is easy to see that the dog often has a major case of bedhead after a good sleep, with her hair sticking out in all directions in the hilarious video. The Golden Retriever’s owner captioned the post, “Xena’s best year of bed head. I think it was 2022.” They also emphasized that the canine “loves food…and her sleep.”
It began with the in-video text, “Rating Xena’s bed head each morning she gets up to collect her advent calendar treato.” With the video being posted during mid-December, it was still the season for advent calendars. In the first clip, the pup could be seen standing in the kitchen as she waited for her treats. It was evident that she had just woken up. In the clip, her hair was in disarray, and her eyes were slightly unfocused from a restful nap.
The first hairstyle that Xena’s owner rated was the “all over fuzz,” which she gave a seven out of ten. This was followed up by “no particular pattern” and “not too messy.” They rated the hairdos four and two, respectively. However, “a solid mohawk” seemed to be a personal favorite, as they gave it a whopping nine out of ten.
They also liked the “fuzz gone wild” and “glorious all over fuzz” looks, giving them a solid eight. However, “one sided” and “mediocre fuzz” received only a four and two, which goes to show that the dog owner loves it when Xena’s hair has gone wild after her snooze. The video quickly went viral, racking up more than 1.8 million views and 163,000 likes.
