Video of Foster Puppy Growing Close to Pit Bull Is as Heartwarming as It Can Get

There’s something truly special about the way dogs connect — not just with humans but with each other. These bonds can be especially powerful when one dog takes on a gentle, guiding role, helping another feel safe and loved in a new environment. That kind of relationship is on full display in a recent Instagram video, where a foster puppy forms a touching connection with a seasoned Pit Bull who clearly knows the ropes of being a big brother.

Instagram video shows different ways a foster puppy and Pit Bull bonds

Shared on the Instagram account @wethreepitties, the video captures the growing friendship between a young foster puppy and Riot, a 10-year-old Pit Bull. Riot isn’t just any dog; he’s been helping his owner raise foster puppies for nearly a decade. The on-screen text reads, “watch my foster puppy fall in love with my 10-year-old bully that’s been helping me raise foster puppies since he was a puppy.”

The clip shows the two dogs playing, cuddling, and even sleeping together in the same cozy spot. Sometimes, they’re even piled on top of each other, clearly unbothered by the complete lack of personal space. In the caption, the owner writes, “I think she’s in love,” and adds that this isn’t a one-time thing. Riot has a long history of forming these close connections. “We’ve been fostering for almost 10 years together, and every single time I take a new foster puppy in, this is how it goes with Riot,” the caption says. “Just call him the foster puppy whisperer.”

According to Riot’s owner, the Pit Bull has a calming, welcoming energy that makes every nervous or shy puppy gravitate toward him almost instantly. And from the looks of it, this new pup is no exception.

Many viewers took to the comments to share their appreciation. “I love seeing them together!! He is so patient with her and all your fosters,” one person wrote. Another joked, “So when does the account name get changed to wefourpitties??” Others called Riot “the best foster brother a broken puppy could ever ask for.”
