A dog’s counter-surfing fail was hilariously captured in a video as he was caught red-handed while trying to steal food from the table. Chip the Golden Retriever, also affectionately called Chippie, swiftly moved himself from naughty to the nice list. Golden Retriever almost steals food when owner catches him in funny video
The internet cannot stop laughing over a hilarious video of a dog stopping in his tracks after he’s caught trying to steal food from the table. Gamja and Chip, an adorable Golden Retriever duo, have been melting hearts with their precious bond and fun shenanigans. It’s safe to say one of the furbabies can sometimes be quite naughty. Recently Chip, aka Chippie, was caught red-handed while trying to counter-surf.
The dog mom took to their Instagram page and shared a video of Chip getting caught in the act. The clip showed the dog’s parents enjoying a cozy night with the television on. At one point, the mama “saw something move out of the corner” of her eye. The camera then moved to the dinner table, where Chippie was slyly trying to pick a treat bag. However, the pup realized right after stepping down that he had been caught.
Chippie stood still in his tracks, with the treat bag in his mouth, as he made eye contact with his dad. The mom then called out the furbaby and softly scolded him, saying, “Who told you to counter surf!” She proceeded to tell him to put the bag back on the table. Chippie then did a little walk around the table before giving in. In the meantime, his mama kept telling him to jump back up and return it. Chippie eventually got back on the table and dropped it off.
Later, the mama told the canine he should not take stuff from the table. Chippie was even rewarded with a treat for being a “very good boy.” Meanwhile, the video was soon packed with equally hilarious comments. One user joked, “Plot twist: he knew you would give him the treat for putting it away.”
