In the Instagram post, Stewart recounted the alarming sequence of events that led to the surgery. It began when Crème Brûlée’s left eye suddenly turned cloudy and then increasingly discolored and bloody. Their vet, Dr. Jean Quaintance, swiftly directed them to the Animal Eye Clinic in Wilton, Connecticut, for urgent care. The diagnosis revealed a deep ulcerated eye infection, which necessitated the removal of the eye. Fortunately, no tumor was found.
Stewart expressed gratitude towards the veterinarians who played a crucial role in her dog’s recovery, including the successful insertion of an artificial eyeball. “Many thanks to Dr Jean and to Dr Stuhr and his staff at @animaleyeclinicwilton for doing such a great job with Creme,” the lifestyle expert wrote in her caption.
