Behind the video is a poignant backstory. Zon had recently lost her beloved American Pit Bull Terrier, Macho, who had been by her side for eight years. In a thoughtful act, her husband surprised her with Pupeye, flying across the country to bring the puppy home. As per Newsweek, Zon admits that initially, she wasn’t ready for another dog but soon felt that Macho might have “had a paw in this decision.” Continuing, she said, “He would have wanted me to find happiness again.”
