An adorable dog’s video recently went viral on social media after his mom captured him trying to stop his grandma from leaving. The Blue English Staffordshire Bull Terrier reacted very cutely when it was time for his grandmother to return home. The canine kept begging her for more pets and scratches, looking at her longingly when it was finally time for them to part.
Video shows Blue English Staffy reaching out for Grandma’s scratches
A Blue English Staffy recently went viral on TikTok, melting everyone’s hearts as the dog gently reached out to his grandma in the video. The short clip has garnered over 1.7 million views and 252,000 likes. Netizens took to the comments to jokingly note that Staffies are similar to clingy humans, with several agreeing that the pups are some of the best.
The Vancouver-based pet owner posted the video earlier this week, and the clip quickly gained the internet’s attention. The in-video text read, “When it’s time for grandma to go home,” with the caption reading, “The worst part of any day is when grandma has to go back to her house.”
The video begins with the dog’s grandma hugging him lovingly before telling him goodbye. However, as she starts walking away, Karl, the dog, places his paw on her arm to ask her to stay. Finding it hard to resist his cuteness, she gives him a few more scratches while hugging him before returning to her own home. The most adorable thing happened towards the end of the short clip as Karl looked on longingly as his grandma left for the day.
On Instagram, the pet parent further elaborated that the dog and his grandma share the “sweetest bond” as she looks after him when his parents are out. A stay at grandma’s home comes with lots of treats and hikes, so it is no surprise that the Staffy adores his grandmother.
