While the actor claims to have seen a lot of wonderful things happen, she asserted that BuzzFeed and puppies were a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her.
Paulson underwent a rollercoaster of emotions while meeting the puppies — eagerness, impatience, crying, shock, and happiness. Paulson sat against a pink backdrop as five tiny pups joined her, which she claimed felt like “heaven.” The 49-year-old even questioned her existence and repeatedly asked if she died and reached heaven. “Nothing matters to me right now,” she said.
While playing with the puppies, Paulson claimed the best behind-the-scenes memory from the film was bringing her dogs to the set every day. She is a dog mother to three canines. “As you can tell I have a problem,” she added, looking down at the five puppies playing about. The Tony Award winner once again insisted, “I think I died. I really do,” while the puppies played on her lap.
At times, Paulson started playing with the puppies mid-way while answering questions. She even attempted to baby-talk with the adorable dogs while they goofed around the set. During a few instances, the canines even tried to nibble on her gold jewelry and diamond earrings. The actor lifted them, played with them, and even shared a few kisses here and there. Paulson later asked BuzzFeed about the dogs, and an animal shelter rep confirmed the pups are 100% mixed breed.
Paulson’s interview with BuzzFeed and the puppies was chaotic, to say the least. In fact, the “Hold Your Breath” actor was relieved that she wasn’t returning home after the interview because her own dogs wouldn’t have been happy. Perhaps the most heartwarming moment was when a puppy fell asleep in Paulson’s arms as she held the small, furry friend to her chest. She called it “outrageous” before exclaiming, “This dog is coming home with me.”
Lastly, Sarah Paulson had a heartfelt message for viewers, announcing that the “perfect” puppies are up for adoption at Northshore Animal League America.
