Guy Fieri praises his son’s effort to say a final goodbye to their dog

On Sunday, Guy Fieri and his son Ryder took to Instagram to announce the loss of their dog Roxy. Ryder was the first to share the news, posting a picture of his younger self with the Mastiff and writing, “R.I.P. to my best friend. Love you Rox.”

Fieri also reshared the image, praising his son’s effort “for flying home for 5 hours” to bid goodbye to their beloved pet. The Food Network host continued, “She lived a great life with our family. We are going to miss her.” As per PEOPLE, Ryder is currently a freshman at San Diego State University.

Other than Roxy, Fieri has been a dog dad to Cash, a French Bulldog, and Cowboy, a German Shepherd. However, Cowboy passed away last year. Fieri announced the loss of the German Shepherd alongside a picture on X (formerly Twitter). He said, “We lost our COWBOY today. He was one a kind and brought so much love and energy to our family.”

Fortunately, Cash is doing well, and the French Bulldog celebrated his third birthday in September. Fieri posted a carousel of pictures of him and the canine, writing, “Happy 3rd Birthday to my shadow CASH. Hikes. Boat rides. Car rides. Filming. You name it… He wants in on every adventure.”

According to a 2020 interview with Vulture, Fieri also hosted pet peacocks and several goats in his large shed.
