Eva Mendes on Rediscovering Her Identity as Her Children Grow Up | The Drew Barrymore Show

During her appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Eva Mendes got candid about rediscovering herself as her children grow up. The actress also discussed her new book, “Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries.” At one point during the talk show, Drew Barrymore’s dog, Douglas, started to chew on Mendes’ pretty floral dress.

Mendes chuckled and said Douglas was “biting” the little roses on her dress. The actress then mentioned the designer and joked, “Stella McCartney is going to really love this.” Barrymore also showcased Mendes’ stunning campaign with the fashion designer. Meanwhile, the “Ghost Rider” actress continued to pet Douglas as she discussed her collaboration with Stella McCartney.

Barrymore rescued Douglas 14 years ago in Los Angeles. Earlier this year, “The Drew Barrymore Show” gave a peek inside the duo’s behind-the-scenes shenanigans. In the special segment, Barrymore shared that Douglas is with her “all the time.” She said, “He’s been here since day one,” and added, “He’s really comfortable.” Barrymore shared that sometimes Douglas “just goes and wanders in the building.”

The “Charlie’s Angels” star also shared that Douglas’ hearing is “not as quality as it used to be” since he is getting older. Barrymore continued to share how she installed cameras around her workplace to keep track of her senior furbaby’s whereabouts. Douglas has been a regular part of the talk show and has featured in several segments. The audience sure loves the sweet canine!
