Lily Allen Returned Adopted Dog Because She ‘Ruined’ Singer’s Life

Lily Allen recently disclosed that she gave back her adopted dog to the shelter after the canine destroyed some of her vital documents. The English actress and singer explained the incident on one of the episodes of her podcast, “Miss Me?” The episode aired on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

During the episode of the podcast, which she hosts along with the well-known television presenter Miquita Oliver, Allen revealed that the puppy, whose name she has not disclosed yet, ate three passports that belonged to her and her two children.

The 39-year-old singer and actress Lily Allen returned the dog she adopted to the shelter as she ruined her and her two children’s passports and visas. She revealed the story in an episode of her podcast, “Miss Me?,” with Miquita Oliver.

As reported by US Weekly, Allen said, “She ate all three of our passports and they had our visas in.” She further explained that the incident cost her a lot of money. Allen had to replace all those important documents during the COVID-19 Pandemic. She called it “an absolute logistical nightmare.”

Lily Allen is currently married to “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour. They live together in New York with her two children, who she had with her ex-husband Sam Cooper. The singer also revealed that due to the dog’s actions, her children had to be away from their father. She added, “Because the father of my children lives in England, I couldn’t take them back to see their dad for like four months, five months.” She recalled telling the adopted dog, “You’ve ruined my life.”

Allen further defended her decision to return the pet dog to the shelter. She claimed that behavior-wise, the dog was not a good fit for her family.
