Unique Dog Bar ‘Barks & Brews’ Set To Open in Kansas

Unique dog bar and play park Barks & Brews is expected to open its doors to the public on May 10. The off-leash bar cum dog park establishment welcomes canines of all sizes and is located in Wichita, Kansas. The best part is that people without dogs are also welcome. They can feel free to enjoy a drink at the full-service bar.

‘Barks & Brews’ brings together dog bar and play park experience in Wichita

Barks & Brews is a unique venture that brings together the fun experiences of enjoying a drink at the bar and taking your furry friend to the park. The off-leash establishment is co-owned by Kris and Traci Withrow. The couple has a chocolate Labrador Retriever of their own named Harley, as per the Wichita Eagle.

Kris and Traci have transformed a garage to fit their purposes, welcoming people to bring their canine companions. Pups can roam the premises freely and can have the time of their lives sniffing out all the nooks and crannies of Barks & Brews. Moreover, there are no restrictions on the dog breeds and size.

However, one will need to register their canine with Barks & Brews. Visitors must upload the required documents as proof of vaccination against rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Also, while people can enter the dog bar for free, dogs would need a membership. There is a range of subscriptions to choose from, like one-day pass, five-day pass, 10-day pass, unlimited visits for a month, and unlimited visits for a year.

Alcohol can be extremely harmful to dogs. So, it’s understandable that several dog lovers were worried about their furry friends when Kris and Traci first announced their venture to the public. However, the couple has assured everyone that necessary precautions will be taken to ensure people and their pets have the best time at the dog bar.

Furthermore, dog owners don’t need to worry about their pup’s safety. Although canines will be off-leash, trained people will monitor the yard. They will help break up any fights and constantly monitor the pups for any signs of aggression.
