Actress Julianne Hough Says New Puppy Boosts Her Mental Health

Julianne Hough cherishes the joys of puppy companionship as a dog mom.

The 35-year-old actress recently shared the profound impact of starting her days alongside her new puppy, Sunny. According to Hough, Sunny improves her overall mental well-being.

While launching her latest project, the KINRGY Fitness Studio in West Hollywood, California, Julianne Hough shared her experience of becoming a new dog mom. According to People, the presence of her new puppy, Sunny has poitively impacted her mental health

In Hough’s words, “Our morning ritual is we’ll play in bed. I’ll wake her up, and she’ll come and get into bed, and we will play for a good, solid 15 minutes.”

Additionally, she emphasizes the transformative effect of fully engaging yourself in laughing and playing with a dog. She highlights how such interactions have significantly altered her energy and improved her mental health

Following a playful session in bed, the dancer ventures out with the puppy for a walk. She utilizes this opportunity for what she describes as “breath work” or “movement meditation,” aiming to clear her mind and find inner calm. 

In addition, Hough remarked that her mornings felt dull before Sunny entered her life. Thus, she asserts, “Nothing better than a dog.”

Hough delighted her Instagram followers in February when she introduced her new furry companion through a video post. The video showed a man unveiling the image of the dog behind a curtain. The post’s caption read, “A little bit of Sunny sunshine for your Monday scrolls ?☀️.” 

The overlay text said, “Me showing everyone the love of my life.”

Regarding her latest venture, Hough shares that her decision to launch KINRGY Fitness Studio stemmed from repeatedly hearing individuals express how participating in Dancing With The Stars brought about transformative changes in their lives beyond dance skills alone. 

Hence, she believes her expertise in dance, coupled with her insights into mental health and meditation, enables her to assist others in fostering a profound connection with their bodies.
