Many “confused and bewildered” dogs have been rescued from a home in Wales, ranging from the age of eight weeks to 14 years old, and now they desperately need adopting.

A charity in Wales, UK, has recently rescued 22 dogs from a house.
The Welsh charity is called West Wales Poundies, which is an organization specializing in dog rescue. Based in the village of Llansawel in Carmarthenshire, Wales, the charity has issued an urgent appeal for dog adoption or fostering.
As reported by Wales Online, the charity responded to a concerned call from a woman living in north Carmarthenshire. The woman reached out to the charity, explaining that she is facing health challenges and is, therefore, unable to care for her dogs.
Sharing on their Facebook page, the charity wrote, “On Friday (January 19), we had an urgent call to help a lady who was struggling to care for her dogs. She had bred dogs for many years, but with ill health and various other issues, she’d begun to struggle and was no longer able to cope.” They further added, “We are grateful she reached out, enabling us to get the dogs the help they so desperately needed.”
A total of 22 Cocker Spaniels were rescued from the house. They ranged from eight weeks to 14 years old. Four of these dogs resided inside the house with the woman, while the remaining were housed in kennels outdoors.
Their living conditions were quite poor. As a result, several rescued dogs suffer from chronic ear infections. One of them even had an infected bite wound on the face. Additionally, many Cocker Spaniels exhibit eye and gum infections. Senior dogs will undergo thorough examinations since they look “extremely thin.”
Luckily, ten canines have already found foster homes. Others will stay under the care of the charity until they can be housed in safe homes. However, restoring the dogs to optimal health and wellness will require substantial costs. Consequently, the charity is urging the public to help the dogs obtain a better quality of life.
The Facebook post said, “They are all in lovely warm kennels, with clean bedding and full bellies. The cost of getting all 22 back to full health will no doubt cost thousands, but we just couldn’t turn a blind eye. So, yet again, we have to ask you all for help.”
