Leash up and, instead of taking the same old route you usually do, follow your dog’s lead and let them take you where they may.
Let them get all their sniffs in. Just be careful when they want to chase after that squirrel!

Give Your Dog A Coupon For Free Belly Rubs!

My dogs are horrible at remembering where they put their coupons -- just like me when I’m finally heading to Bed Bath & Beyond.
This can actually be a fun arts and crafts project for any kids in the home too. Have them come up with coupon ideas, then let them color and decorate their own doggy coupons.
Or instead of using a coupon, you could just give your pooch belly rubs throughout the day. They'd appreciate that just fine!

Go For A Joy Ride

Take your pooch for a ride out into the country, or if you live in the country, take them to the city.
Dogs love new smells, and sights, and sunshine! They love getting out and being with you, their forever pet parent.
Make sure to buckle them up, then let them feel the wind in their fur!

You may be surprised to find out that your fur baby loves when you read a book out loud to them. You won't know until you try!
May I suggest Call of the Wild? Or try any of the other books on our reading list for National Book Lovers Day, which comes only one day before Spoil Your Dog Day!

There are tons of good dog movies out there, and even if your pup can't pay attention for the whole film, they'll still enjoy cuddling with you on the couch.
Pick out a favorite dog movie to watch with your pet, like Air Bud (1997) or Bolt (2008) or another dog-themed film!
