Here at DogTime, we’re thrilled to be part of Bark For Life, the American Cancer Society’s non-competitive fundraising walk this summer in San Francisco. The reason we’re excited? Dogs are not only invited, they’re the cornerstone of the event!
So, if you and your pup want to support the fight against cancer, sign up to participate — and join us for a day of entertainment, contests, games, and fun. There are plenty of ways to volunteer and involved.
This year’s event will be held on July 21, 2012, at Crissy Field, and the opening ceremony begins at 10 am. You can register as an individual, start a team of your own, or find an already existing team. The Bark For Life website provides all the info and offers tips for making your fundraising efforts truly fun and successful.
Best of all, money raised from Bark For Life of San Francisco help the American Cancer Society save lives (according to their site) by:
· Helping people stay well. Helping people everywhere take steps to prevent cancer or detect it early, when it’s most treatable.
· Helping people get well. Around the clock, guides people through every step of their cancer experience.
· Finding cures. Funds groundbreaking research that helps understand cancer’s causes, determine how best to prevent it, and discover new ways to cure it.
· Fighting back. Works with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight.
So come out and meet the DogTime team this summer. We’ll be there with our pups, proudly walking on two — or four — legs to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. We look forward to sharing the day with you…
