JuJu Smith-Schuster’s dog Boujee was bred in Northern California and was flown to Pittsburgh when he was a couple of weeks old. And how did the player select his name? He simply picked it from Migos’ song “Bad and Boujee” which was popular in 2017. Plus, the name reflects the NFL lifestyle.

He told ESPN, “Being in the NFL, bougie, you know, pretty spoiled. So with that name being said, he gets whatever he wants, and does whatever he wants. That’s pretty much why I call him ‘Boujee.'”

Sharing the incident, he told the outlet, that while attending a summer school in Long Beach, California, a Chihuahua started running after him and chased him “all the way into the classroom.” The player got scared and “jumped on a table.” The teacher then had to get the dog out of the classroom.

The player never thought of having a dog as his companion. But things changed when he moved to Pittsburgh and decided to get a dog for his company.

And finally after after talking with Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, who owned three Frenchies at the time, JuJu Smith-Schuster welcomed a $6,000 blue French bulldog (with rare light gray coat) in 2017. It was his best decison ever.
